白色粉末、无毒、可燃。自然点900℃，具有愉快的气味，密度1.095g/cm3，不溶于水，可溶于热乙醇、松节油、苯等有机溶剂和酸。在有机溶剂中加热溶解后冷却成胶状物。遇强酸分解为硬脂酸和相应的锌盐，有吸水性。

用途
Use
用作聚氯乙烯的稳定剂，与钡、镉皂配合，主要用于软质制品，特点是能抑制初期着色，避免硫化污染。还可用作苯乙烯（聚苯乙烯和ABS、SAN树脂）酚醛树脂、氨基树脂盐固化塑料及聚酯的增塑剂、硫化催媒的活化剂。还可作纺织品的打光剂，油漆及搪瓷的平光剂。用于粉类化妆品可增加粘附性和润滑性，也可作涂料工业的罩光剂。
